BMW launched its flagships in India -The all new X7 and facelift 7 Series.

BMW officially launched its new X7 SUV and Facelift 7-Series sedan in India today. The X7 priced at 98.90 lakh and 7-Series at 1.22 Crore.The X7 is the new breed in its segment, while 7-Series is the facelift model of current selling generation.

Both the models will available in the 3 Litre Petrol and Diesel engine options.However, for the first time in India, the new BMW 7 Series is also available in a plug-in-hybrid option – the BMW 745Le xDrive – combining benefits of an electric motor and a petrol engine.

The first-ever BMW X7 is available in BMW X7 xDrive30d Design Pure Excellence Signature variant (diesel) which is locally produced. The BMW X7 xDrive40i (petrol) is available as a completely built-up unit (CBU).

The all new X7

The large kidney grille inline with the new BMW design terminology makes a muscular SUV stance for the X7. BMW Laser Light technology with blue X-shaped elements makes a distinctive visual proclamation The car slotted above the X5, moreover it has 3 rows of spacious seats. Automatic air conditioning with five-zone control extends the luxury for each passenger

The large Sky Lounge Panoramic glass sunroof extending till the third row, enhances light flow into the cabin. The xDrive, all-wheel-drive system, monitors the driving situation constantly and is quick to respond. Furthermore, Electronically controlled ‘Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks’ (ADB-X), extended ‘Dynamic Traction Control’ (DTC), Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control were available.

The first-ever BMW X7 is equipped with Park Distance Control (PDC) including sensors at both the front and rear. The Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension enables raising and lowering of vehicle at the touch of button and automatically adjusts the height of the car which in turn makes it adaptable to varied terrains.

The 3L six-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW X7 xDrive40i produces an output of 340 hp and maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,500 – 5,200 rpm.While the X7 xDrive30d produces an output of 265 hp and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 1,500 – 2,500 rpm.

The Facelift 7-Series

The 7-series plays the flagship in the BMW’s sedan marque.Now with the facelift, it got some substantial changes to its looks.The new large kidney grille makes the car distinct from its pre-facelift one. Moreover, In a glance it perceives to be an entire different generation.

Upon interior,The &-series continues its legacy for the Executive Lounge which appointments the comfort with four-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable comfort seats, massage function and active seat ventilation.The rear entertainment system comprises of two 10.2 inch full-HD touch displays with a Blu-ray player. Moreover, The 7 inch tablet with touch function, which is integrated into the centre armrest and connected to the vehicle systems, can also be used outside the vehicle.

The BMW 745Le xDrive plug-in hybrid variant, the electric drive is powered by a new lithium-ion battery with latest battery cell technology and increased capacity, producing 108 hp and a maximum torque of 265 Nm. The BMW TwinPower Turbo 3L six-cylinder petrol engine produces an output of 286 hp and a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,380 – 5,000 rpm.While the The 3L six-cylinder diesel engine of the BMW 730Ld produces an output of 265 hp and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 2,000 – 2,500 rpm.
