Mercedes Benz India officially launched AMG GT R at Rs. 2.23 Crore and AMG GT Roadster at Rs. 2.19 Crore (Both prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Mercedes-Benz India now offers 12 AMG models in the country. With the launch of new AMG models, Mercedes Benz introduced 10 models this year in India. The AMG GT R holds record in Nuburgring with laptime of 7:10:9. Now the AMG GT R holds another record as it is the fastest production car to lap the Buddh International Circuit in a record 2:09.853 minutes. 

Mercedes AMG GT R is powered by 4.0 L Bi-Turbo V8 engine producing 585 BHP of power and 700 NM of torque. This engine is mated to 7 speed automatic gearbox. 0-100 kph in 3.6 sec and top speed is 318 kph. The exclusive "AMG green hell magno" special paintwork is available with AMG GT R in India. The R variant get new front bumper along with wider rear for a bigger disffuser. Mercedes AMG GT R also features active rear wheel steering for better handling at higher speeds and nine way adjustable traction control system. The interior also get some changes like sports seats, yellow seat belts, piano black interior and more.

The AMG GT C Roadster especially employs some of the sophisticated technical features of the AMG GT R, including the active rear axle steering and the electronically controlled rear axle limited-slip differential. And from the Panamericana Grille through to the broader tail end, the AMG GT R genes are instantly plain to see, too. The GT C Roadster furthermore comes complete with a highly exclusive specification, with standard equipment including a nappa leather interior, the AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfibre and the additional drive program RACE.

For the first time, the AMG performance seats are also optionally available with AIRSCARF neck-level heating and seat ventilation – for undiluted open-air driving pleasure the whole year round. The soft top opens and closes in approx. eleven seconds on both AMG GT Roadster variants, even when on the move at speeds up to 50 km/h. The new Roadsters make hallmark AMG driving performance an even more intensive experience. In the entry-level model, the AMG GT Roadster, the AMG 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo unit produces an output of 350 kW (476 hp). Boasting an even more striking and dynamic appearance, the AMG GT C Roadster with its output of 410 kW (557 hp) and peak torque of 680 Nm is a brand new model variant that slots in between the AMG GT S and R.
