Sneak Peek: 2021 Kia Carnival pictures revealed

Expect this 4th generation Carnival to hit Indian shores only in 2022

The news is that the 4th generation Kia Carnival will hit Indian shores in 2022 and has drawn major inspiration from Kia’s SUV lineup. It is expected that the new Carnival will have a longer wheelbase than the current model. Pictures released revealed the exterior of the 2021 Carnival. Judging by the pictures it is pretty clear that Kia wants the Carnival to have even more road presence, replacing the round soft lines is the more angular and squared off stance. It carries Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose grille’ which features a diamond pattern embellished with chrome.

The high beam headlight cluster is housed in the corners and LED DRL’s wrap around the turn indicators. The lower air intake has a chrome finish and the faux skid plate gives a more rugged persona. The longer bonnet in the new Kia is because the A-pillar is pushed back. The pictures revealed featured the Limousine variant which features 19’ dual-tone alloy wheels, and there is a prominent character line running down the length of the MPV. The C pillar is done in chrome whereas the A, B, and D pillars are black. At the rear, the car carries LED tail lights linked by a large LED light bar. There is a chrome strip that merges into the base of the chrome fin on the C-pillar and the skid plate.

The interior is said to be completely redone which will be equipped with two screens – one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. It is expected to retain the dual sunroof setup and will come in multiple seat configurations. The Carnival will be available as an 11 seat configuration aiming at fleet operations and as a 4 seat configuration for a luxurious experience. We expect the new Carnival to carry forward the 2.2 diesel for select markets, for petrol preferred markets the new Carnival is expected to get the same 2.5-liter turbo petrol powering the Kia Sorento. Also, a hybrid option paired with a 1.6-liter petrol engine with an electric motor. We expect this new Kia to come to India only in 2022.
