Upon the interior, the space ship like styling as seen in the previous generation is missing. However, Honda has bring some new practical and elegant ingredients to the interior design. First of all the interior equipments are placed in a logical way so that driver could access all those things in an easy manner. The low-slung seating position and ergonomically placed 6- speed short-throw gear lever in diesel variant provides a sporty driving experience. The new add-on features on interior includes the remote engine start, electric parking brake, electric seat adjustment for driver and the first in segment Lane watch assist. The touch infotainment system is very functional nevertheless, the clarity of reverse camera is not that good. The seats are crafted with fine upholstery and a generous leg room is available for the rear seat occupants. Civic can easily fall inline with its rivals in terms of the boot space.

Drivability

The drivability of new civic is changed in all sense. The one key change is on the suspension height. It is raised significantly as compared to the previous generation model so, no need to get much worried about the bumps and potholes unlike the previous model. The new steering system is well responsive on curves .The 17 inch wheels are not only improve aesthetics but also have a great role in improving drivability. Unfortunately, Petrolheads really miss the manual transmission on the petrol variant however, they have a linear powered CVT instead. Moreover, the manual diesel variant has good engine output at low revolutions and the throttle response is upright. However, the gear ratios between 1st and 2nd gears are higher, so that sometimes you need to shift the gear from 2nd to 1st even if the road doesn’t demanding it. Finally, those who want to be in the driving seat and not to be chauffeured, diesel would be a right pick.
