Bugatti, a brand famed for creating the fastest, most luxurious and most expensive supercars for more than a century, 110 years to be precise. Buying a Bugatti is unlike buying any other piece of machinery in this world and the Bugatti Chiron is no exception to that statement. The Bugatti Chiron is the 2nd model from Bugatti after its acquisition by the Volkswagen Group back in 1998 and the successor to the iconic Bugatti Veyron 16.4.
The Chiron itself is very special as it’s limited to just 500 units and creating a One off Chiron is something which crosses the bar of exclusivity. Well, American Entrepreneur and Real Estate Tycoon Manny Khoshbin has done just that by creating a 1 of 1 Bugatti Chiron. It’s called the Bugatti Chiron Hermes Edition. This 1 of 1 Chiron is created by Bugatti in collaboration with French Handbag Tycoon and Best Leather Manufacturer in the world –Hermes Paris.
So here’s the story of how this project started. When Bugatti unveiled the new Chiron at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Manny was immediately drawn towards to this new bug and decided to get one to add to his multi-million dollar supercar collection. So, without any further due, he placed an order for the Chiron and sent a Pre Order Deposit of $250,000 USD to Bugatti becoming one of very first people from the USA to do so. Manny could have got his Chiron long back if he chose his Spec from Bugatti’s Spec Palette, but he didn’t do that. Manny wanted something very special and very unique that could stand out among the other Chiron’s.
This is where he decided to bring Hermes into the scene and commission them to make his dream Chiron. This was set to be Manny’s 2nd Project with Hermes after creating his Pagani Huayra Coupe spec with them. So, he approached to the Bugatti officials and conveyed his intention of creating a partnership between Bugatti and Hermes to create his Chiron.
At first, Bugatti didn’t agree to his plan and he unfortunately had to withdraw his name from the Order List. But his shattered dreams began to revive when Manny went to the 2016 Monterey Car Week where he met with the Bugatti Officials again and finally convinced them to work with Hermes. Later that year, Manny flew the Hermes designers to the Bugatti Factory to start discussing about the specification and that’s where the Chiron Hermes Edition started to take birth. After a full year of discussion, the spec for the Chiron Hermes was finalized and the build was commenced in 2018.

The Chiron Hermes is painted in Creie, a Custom One-Off Paint Color created by Hermes. Every single visible Body Panel of this car is painted in Creie. Even the Front Bumper and the Rear Bumper Grilles, which would normally come in Gloss Black, are painted in Creie here. At first Bugatti didn’t agree to paint the Rear Bumper Grille in Creie as the Heat coming from the Radiators could ruin the Paint and it took 6 months for Manny to convince Bugatti to come up with an ideal solution and paint it. The Rear Bumper on the Chiron Hermes is painted in Creie as well. In Simple Words, this Chiron is just dipped in Creie.
The Chiron Hermes also has the optional SkyView, which provides you with 2 Piece Fixed Glass Roof Panel which allow more sunlight to come into the cockpit. The SkyView alone costs $60,000 USD. The Filler Cap Surrounds and the Rear Diffuser are left in Exposed Gloss Black Carbon Fiber.
The Chiron Hermes being a Complete One Off, there are some unique touches to it that’ll surely make you go “Awe”. The most eye catching thing on the exterior of the Chiron Hermes is the Underside of its Rear Wing because it has the Hermes Courbettes Design painted on it and the cool thing is, the Design painted on the Rear Wing is matched exactly to the Design of the Silk Fabric used on the Door Panels on the Interior.
The Hermes Chiron also has a Custom One off Horseshoe Grille. The Horseshoe is made of Brushed Aluminum just like other Chiron’s but the Design is where the difference lies. Unlike the X-Patterned Design found on the Grilles of other Chiron’s, the Hermes Edition has a Custom Design with H’s on them. “H” Design on the Grille stands for Hermes.
In Terms of Wheels, Manny opt for the Classique 10 Spoke Lightweight Wheels painted in Creie to match with the Body Color. The Brake Callipers are painted in Red and that’s the only Non Creie painted part in the whole car.
The Interior of the Chiron Hermes is where it truly sets a benchmark. The Interior is completely caked in Hermes Leather as its Custom Made by Hermes in Paris. Hermes mainly used 2 Types of Leather for the interior – Ecrw Leather and Creie Leather. The Upper Door Panels, Steering Wheel, Instrument Cluster Top, Centre Console and the Dashboard are finished in Ecrw Leather whereas the Seats, Lower Centre Console and the Seat Backs are finished in Creie Leather. The Lower Door Panels are lined in a Special Cashmere Silk Fabric with the Courbettes Design integrated on them, just like the Design on the Underside of the Rear Wing. The Leathers used are a Complete One off as Hermes made them especially for this Chiron. There will be no other Car or Hermes Product in the world that would be made from this Leather. That is what you call “Exclusivity”.
The Interior too has some unique touches to it that sets it apart from other Chiron’s. The Brushed Aluminum Trim on the Centre Console has a Special Engraving on it in French which translates to “Dress by Hermes”.There are 2 Small Pouches made of Creie Leather on either side of the Centre Console to store the Custom Racing Gloves made by Hermes for Manny.
Unlike other Chiron’s, the Seats on the Hermes Edition don’t have the Diamond Quilted Stitching instead they are left Plain and Classy as Hermes wanted the design to be Simple and Elegant. The Door Sills are made of Brushed Aluminum and have a Special Engraving on them which says “Chiron Hermes 1 OF 1”.
One other special touch on this Chiron is the Dedication Plate which goes under the Bonnet. Normally the Chiron Dedication Plate says “1 OF 500”, but the Hermes Chiron Dedication Plate says “Hermes 1 of 1”.That’s pretty much the interior and the specification of the whole car.
Hermes also presented Manny with a wonderfully made, spec matched scale model of the Chiron Hermes. How cool is that. These are the kind of things that takes the Customer Experience to a whole new level.
The 3 year old journey finally came to an end when Manny Khoshbin finally took delivery of his long awaited Chiron Hermes at his Residence in Orange County California on December 28, 2019.
