2026 Renault Duster Launched at ₹10.49 Lakh: Pricing takes Centre Stage

Renault has brought back the Duster to India with a starting price of ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with an introductory price tag of ₹10.29 lakh for early buyers.

The aggressive entry price places the SUV below key rivals, while the range stretches to around ₹20 lakh for fully loaded variants.

Exterior: True to Its Roots

The design retains the Duster’s core identity alive.

  • Upright stance with a boxy profile
  • Prominent wheel arches and body cladding
  • Y-shaped LED lighting signature
  • High ground clearance for rough roads

It looks tough and purpose-built, rather than urban-focused.

Interior: Major Upgrade

Inside, the change is significant.

  • Large 10.1-inch touchscreen with digital cluster
  • Cleaner, driver-focused layout
  • Panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting
  • Better materials and overall finish

The cabin feels modern and competitive, fixing one of the old model’s biggest negatives.

Performance Figures

Renault is offering multiple powertrain options:

  • 1.0L turbo petrol: 100 hp and 160 Nm torque
  • 1.3L turbo petrol: 163 hp and 280 Nm torque
  • Manual and automatic options

The brand will also introduce a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol powertrain by Diwali 2026.

The hybrid will get a combined 109 hp petrol engine with a 49 hp electric motor, a 20 hp hybrid starter generator and a 1.4kWh battery to support.

Technology and Safety

The new Duster sees a big jump in the features list:

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Connected car tech
  • 360-degree camera and ADAS
  • Up to six airbags and electronic stability control

Overview

The comeback is built around one thing: price.

At ₹10.49 lakh, the new Duster enters the segment with a clear advantage. It competes with rivals where it matters the most, while still offering enough across variants.
