Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Z1100 in India at ₹12.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), retaining the same price as the previous model year. Bookings are now open, with deliveries commencing today across dealerships in the country.

The Japanese manufacturer has made no mechanical or feature changes to the super-naked motorcycle for 2027. It continues to be offered in a single Ebony/Metallic Carbon Grey colour scheme.

1,099cc Inline-Four Engine

Power comes from a liquid-cooled, 1,099cc inline-four engine producing 136hp and 113Nm. The motorcycle uses a tubular diamond chassis, suspended by a 41mm upside-down front fork with 120mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 136mm of travel.

Braking is handled by dual 310mm front discs and a single 260mm rear disc. The Z1100 also gets a 17-litre fuel tank and weighs 220kg.

Features and Rider Aids

The Z1100 retains its existing electronics and equipment package, including:

  • A 5-inch TFT instrument display with smartphone connectivity
  • Bi-directional quickshifter
  • Three-level, corner-sensitive traction control
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Cruise control

Rivals and Pricing

At ₹12.79 lakh, the Kawasaki Z1100 competes with the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, priced at ₹13.29 lakh. Buyers looking for a more affordable option within Kawasaki’s own range can consider the Z900, which costs ₹9.99 lakh.

Final Take

The 2027 Z1100 is a straightforward model-year update, with Kawasaki carrying forward its existing engine, hardware and electronics without a price increase. Its 136hp inline-four engine and comprehensive rider aids remain the main attractions.

With the Z1100 priced below the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, it offers an alternative for riders looking for a litre-class naked motorcycle. However, the lack of updates means this launch is primarily about continued availability rather than a major step forward for the model.
