Ather Energy, an EV company based in Bengaluru, has announced the complition a big milestone, its family scooter, the Ather Rizta, has sold 1 lakh units within a year of launch. The Rizta was introduced in April 2025, and by May 2025, it had officially crossed the 1 lakh sales mark, with 99,691 units sold by April and the remaining 309 units sold in May.
The Rizta’s strong performance is thanks to its positive reception from family scooter buyers. To meet the rising demand, Ather increased production and deliveries in the second quarter of FY25. They also expanded availability across key states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The scooter has been so popular that it now makes up 60% of Ather’s total sales.
Ravneet Phokela, Ather’s Chief Business Officer, commented that Reaching the 1 lakh mark with the Rizta was a proud moment indeed. He also adds that, this scooter was specially designed for Indian families and has helped us connect with a much wider customer base.
