Lucid Group, Inc., known for building some of the most advanced electric cars in the world, has just set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title. The record is for ‘The longest distance ever driven by an electric vehicle on a single charge — a staggering 1,205 kilometers’.
The journey began in St. Moritz, Switzerland and ended in Munich, Germany, passing through scenic alpine roads, highways, and small towns, all without stopping to charge even once. This beat the previous record of 1,045 kilometers, set earlier in June 2025, by 160 kilometers.

The record-breaking drive was achieved using the Lucid Air Grand Touring, a luxury electric sedan packed with cutting-edge tech. With an official WLTP range of 960 km and an energy efficiency of just 13.5 kWh per 100 km, it outperforms nearly every other EV on the market.
It Offers:
- 820 hp of power
- Top speed of 270 km/h
- Ultra-fast charging (400 km of range in just 16 minutes)
- A spacious, high-end interior for up to 5 passengers

Eric Bach, Senior Vice President of Product at Lucid, stated that, This record proves how efficient and advanced our technology is. Lucid vehicles are designed to go farther while using less energy.
Umit Sabanci was the Man Behind the Wheel for the Achievement. This is not the first time Lucid has made headlines with record-setting drives. In 2024, Umit Sabanci, a London-based entrepreneur, drove a Lucid Air Grand Touring across nine countries on a single charge, setting another GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title.
