India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has just unveiled the 2025 FZ-X, and this time there are quite a few updates. The Motorcycle comes packed with Hybrid Engine Technology, a colourful TFT display, and Turn-by-Turn navigation. All of this is aimed at giving today’s riders a smoother, smarter, and more premium riding experience.

The new FZ-X Hybrid is priced at Rs. 1,49,990 (ex-showroom Delhi) and comes in an eye-catching Matte Titan colour. For those who prefer the classic version, Yamaha will also offer a non-hybrid FZ-X in Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black, priced at Rs. 1,29,990.

What’s New with the Hybrid Tech?

Yamaha’s Hybrid Engine isn’t just a buzzword. It brings in practical features like:

  • Smart Motor Generator (SMG): For super quiet starts.
  • Stop & Start System (SSS): The engine turns off at idle (like at traffic lights) and restarts the moment you pull the clutch — saving fuel and adding convenience.
  • Battery-assisted Acceleration: Gives you an extra push when you start moving, especially helpful in city traffic.

Tech That Talks

The 2025 FZ-X also introduces a 4.2-inch colour TFT screen, which connects to your smartphone via the Y-Connect app. The highlight here is the Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation, powered by Google Maps; it gives real-time directions, road names, and intersection details right on your bike’s screen. No more glancing at your phone while riding!

From the outside, the FZ-X retains its neo-retro design, blending rugged appeal with modern details. The addition of the iconic Yamaha logo on the fuel tank adds to its classic charm.

Under the tank, it still runs on the proven 149cc air-cooled engine, delivering:

  • 12.4 PS of power
  • 13.3 Nm of torque

Perfect for zipping through city roads or weekend getaways.

With Traction Control System (TCS) and single-channel ABS, Yamaha ensures a confident ride, even on tricky roads. Plus, the telescopic front fork, adjustable rear suspension, and a comfortable dual-level seat mean long rides won’t leave you sore.
