Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG CLE 53 Coupe at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.35 crore. This sporty coupe sits above the CLE 300 Cabriolet and costs ₹20 lakh more. With this launch, Mercedes now offers 10 AMG models in India.

Features and Interior
The CLE 53 Coupe shares its cabin with the CLE 300, including an 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and three central AC vents. The coupe adds an AMG-specific 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara with red stitching and extra touch controls. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 64-color ambient lighting, a Burmester sound system, powered seats with memory, a wireless phone charger, and a head-up display.

Performance
The main attraction is the engine. The CLE 53 AMG uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, making 449hp and 560Nm of torque (up to 600Nm with Overboost). Power goes to all four wheels through a 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox and Mercedes’ 4Matic+ system. The car accelerates from 0 to 100kph in just 4.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250kph, or 270kph with the optional AMG Performance Package.

Competition
The closest rival is the BMW M2, which has 460hp and 550Nm of torque, but the CLE 53 AMG is priced ₹32 lakh higher than the BMW M2’s ₹1.03 crore price tag.
