French carmaker Renault has unveiled its new strategic plan, focusing on how the brand intends to drive growth, electrification, and global expansion through 2030.

While the strategy focuses on strengthening Renault’s position in Europe, one of the most significant highlights is the Renault Bridger Concept.
Bridger Concept Signals Renault’s Global SUV Push
A major highlight of the announcement is the Renault Bridger Concept, a futuristic SUV for the urban markets.
The concept features a bold and upright design, with 200 mm ground clearance and 18-inch wheels, fit for both city use and light adventure.
At the front, the SUV gets a sculpted grille with Renault lettering and sharp headlamp elements, while the rear-mounted spare wheel adds to its rugged appearance.
More details are yet to be announced by the manufacturer.
The production version of the Bridger will be based on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP Small) and will support multiple powertrains, including petrol, hybrid, and EVs, depending on the market.

Renault says the model will be built in India for the Indian market and other regions, with the production version expected to arrive before the end of 2027.
New Models Planned for Europe and Global Markets
Under the strategy, the carmaker plans to launch 12 new models in Europe by 2030.
Models such as the Clio, Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, Renault 4 E-Tech Electric, and the upcoming Twingo E-Tech are part of the plan.

Electrification Remains Central to Renault’s Strategy
Electrification will play a key role in Renault’s future lineup. The company confirmed that its E-Tech hybrid technology will continue beyond 2030.
Future EVs will use the RGEV Medium 2.0 platform, featuring 800V fast-charging and up to 750 km WLTP range.
Renault is also exploring range-extender versions capable of delivering up to 1,400 km of combined range.
International Expansion
Renault also plans to expand globally using its production hubs in Morocco, Türkiye, Latin America, South Korea, and India.
Renault also plans to launch 14 new models for international markets by 2030.
As part of the strategy, Renault aims to sell more than 2 million models globally by 2030.
The brand targets 100% electrified sales in Europe and 50% in other global markets by 2030.
For the Indian Market
For India, the Bridger concept could mark Renault’s return to the sub-4 SUV segment, one of the most competitive spaces in the market.

With its upright design, high ground clearance, and rear-mounted spare wheel, the SUV has the rugged appeal of a mini Defender and the spirit of a compact Duster.
If launched in this form, the car could position itself as a tough, urban-friendly SUV aimed at young buyers.
