BMW Motorrad has launched the new BMW M 1000 R in India with prices starting at ₹33.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The hyper-naked roadster arrives as a CBU import, and bookings have opened across BMW Motorrad dealerships.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2026.
Derived from the legendary BMW S 1000 R, the new model blends superbike performance with a roadster stance.
BMW says the motorcycle is designed for riders who seek track-level performance while still being able to enjoy it on the road.
Design and Aerodynamics
The new M 1000 R features an aggressive and compact design with several aerodynamic enhancements.

- New dual-flow LED headlights inspired by BMW’s RR models.
- Prominent M winglets that improve stability at high speeds.
- At 220 km/h, the winglets add 11 kg of front-wheel load
- Carbon fibre wheels are available with the M Competition package.

- Rear frame and swingarm finished in Platinum Grey Metallic.

Engine and Performance
At the heart of the M 1000 R sits a high-revving inline-four derived from the S 1000 RR.

BMW’s ShiftCam technology optimises valve timing to deliver stronger torque at low and mid-range speeds while still allowing high-rpm power delivery.
Other performance upgrades include titanium valves, lighter cam followers and revised camshafts for improved response.

The M 1000 R packs serious electronics to help riders extract maximum performance safely.
