Kia India has announced that the all-new Kia Seltos has achieved a prestigious 5-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP). This milestone establishes the Seltos as the highest-scoring internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle tested under the program to date.
Record-Breaking Safety Scores
The all-new Seltos delivered an industry-leading performance across various crash test scenarios, setting new reference points for occupant protection in its segment.
- Combined Score: 76.70 points, the highest for any ICE vehicle in BNCAP history.
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): A record 31.70 points.
- Child Occupant Protection (COP): 45.00 points, among the highest scores ever recorded in its category.

The high safety scores are attributed to the SUV’s new K3 platform. This foundation was specifically engineered to enhance structural integrity and crashworthiness.
