Volkswagen has updated the Volkswagen Taigun, adding a long list of new features while keeping its focus on driving dynamics and safety intact.

This isn’t a complete revamp, but a detailed refresh. The Taigun now gets over 40 new features, improved tech, and subtle design changes aimed at making it feel more premium and usable every day.

What’s New

The update touches almost every area of the car, from design to technology.

Key highlights:

  • New front and rear styling with a cleaner grille and light band
  • First-in-segment illuminated front and rear logos
  • Updated interiors with new materials and finishes
  • New colour options and alloy wheel designs

It still looks like a Taigun, just sharper and more modern.

Tech Gets a Big Boost

Volkswagen has focused heavily on in-car tech this time.

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Built-in app store with multiple apps
  • “Hello Volkswagen” voice assistant with natural speech recognition
  • 10.25-inch digital cockpit with navigation display
  • Upgraded sound system with subwoofer

The interface is now more connected and easier to interact with.

Comfort and Everyday Usability

The Taigun continues to target daily comfort, with a few meaningful additions:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Ventilated front seats
  • 6-way electric driver seat
  • Climatronic AC is now standard across variants
  • Rear wiper and heated rear windshield

These are the kind of features you’ll actually notice in daily use.

Safety Remains a Strong Point

Safety has always been a key strength of the Taigun, and that hasn’t changed.

  • 5-star Global NCAP rating
  • Six airbags as standard
  • Over 40 safety features, including ESC and hill hold
  • Front and rear parking sensors

Volkswagen is clearly doubling down on its safety-first positioning.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, things remain familiar but slightly improved.

  • 1.0 TSI
    • 85 kW / 178 Nm
    • Now paired with an 8-speed automatic (first in segment)
  • 1.5 TSI
    • 110 kW / 250 Nm
    • 7-speed DSG with Active Cylinder Technology

The addition of the 8-speed automatic on the 1.0 TSI should make city driving smoother and more efficient.

Variants and Positioning

The Taigun continues with a wide lineup:

  • Comfortline
  • Highline
  • Highline Plus
  • Topline
  • GT trims (GT Line, GT Chrome, GT Sport)

This gives buyers plenty of options depending on budget and preferences.

Overview

This update isn’t about changing what the Taigun is. It’s about improving it where it matters.

  • More features without overcomplicating things
  • Better tech and cabin experience
  • Same strong focus on safety and driving feel

For someone looking at a well-rounded compact SUV, the Taigun now feels more complete than before.
