Renault Group is getting ready for a fresh start in India.

The company plans to launch seven new models by 2030, and it has already shown the platforms that will support these cars.
Two Platforms, Different Purpose
Renault is working with two platforms, each for a different type of customer.
RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform)

This platform was brought under the new Duster.
- Can support petrol, hybrid, and electric options
- Meant for higher segments
- Will get a sub-4-meter treatment under the upcoming Renault Bridger
RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform)
This is for smaller, more affordable cars.
- Will continue under cars like the Renault Kiger and Renault Triber
- Will get updated engines
- CNG options are expected
One platform for growth and one for volume.
What to Expect Next
Renault’s future lineup could include:
- A compact SUV below Duster
- Updated versions of Kiger and Triber
- New options with CNG and possibly EVs
Bigger Plan for India
Renault is also taking India more seriously now.
- Targeting around 5% market share
- Planning more local production
- Expanding its lineup step by step
This is a bigger push than what we’ve seen from them in recent years.
Conclusion
Renault is not doing random launches anymore.
There’s a clear plan now, two platforms and multiple cars built around them.
One side focuses on affordable cars like Kiger and Triber, while the other brings in bigger, more modern SUVs.
If executed well, this could help Renault build a stronger presence in India again.
