Ultraviolette Automotive has confirmed delays in the deliveries of its upcoming:
- Ultraviolette Tesseract
- Ultraviolette Shockwave

The Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer says the decision comes as part of its effort to further refine the products and improve the overall ownership experience before customer deliveries begin.
Company Prioritising Product Refinement
Ultraviolette stated that it remains focused on delivering:
- Better reliability
- Improved refinement
- Higher overall product quality
Instead of rushing deliveries to meet timelines.
Ultraviolette believes customers waiting for the Tesseract and Shockwave will receive more polished products than the versions the company initially showcased during the reveal phase.
However, the delay is likely to frustrate a large number of buyers, especially considering Ultraviolette has already received more than 70,000 bookings for the upcoming products.
Shockwave Details Expected Soon
Alongside the Tesseract delay, Ultraviolette also confirmed that the Shockwave electric motorcycle will arrive later than expected.
The company has not revealed a revised launch timeline yet, but says more details about the Shockwave will be shared in the coming weeks.

Final Take
While delays are never ideal, Ultraviolette seems to be taking a cautious approach rather than pushing unfinished products into the market.
For a performance-focused EV brand trying to build a long-term reputation, delivering a well-sorted product may ultimately matter more than meeting aggressive timelines. Still, with over 70,000 bookings already in hand, customer patience will likely be tested if the delays stretch too far.
