Veteran Motoring media personality Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, with the news being shared in the final episodes of the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm.

The 66-year-old television presenter disclosed the diagnosis during an emotional conversation with farm manager Kaleb Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland. The episodes, released on June 18, show Clarkson discussing the condition and the treatment he has already undergone.

Diagnosis Revealed On Camera

During the episode, Clarkson explained that he had undergone a biopsy before receiving the diagnosis. The former Top Gear and Grand Tour host added that he had known about the condition since May and reassured those around him that he expected to recover.

Clarkson also revealed that part of his prostate had been removed as part of the treatment process.

Health Challenges Continue

The diagnosis comes less than a year after Clarkson underwent a heart procedure in October 2024.

At the time, he revealed that one of the arteries supplying blood to his heart was completely blocked, while another was significantly narrowed. Doctors fitted a stent to restore blood flow and reduce the risk of further complications.

Health concerns have featured throughout the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm, with the presenter openly discussing the physical demands of running Diddly Squat Farm alongside his ongoing medical issues.

Emotional End To Season Five

The season concludes with Clarkson back in a hospital bed following treatment.

Speaking directly to viewers, he reflected on the uncertainty surrounding his recovery.

“If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t,” he said.

Despite the sombre tone, Clarkson maintained his trademark humour throughout the episode and remained optimistic about the outcome of the treatment.

A Television Icon

Clarkson remains one of Britain’s most recognisable television personalities.

After leading Top Gear through its most successful era between 2002 and 2015, he went on to host The Grand Tour alongside Richard Hammond and James May. More recently, Clarkson’s Farm has become one of Amazon Prime Video’s biggest global successes, earning praise for its honest portrayal of modern farming and rural life.

While the diagnosis will undoubtedly concern fans, Clarkson has repeatedly stated that the cancer was detected early and that he expects to make a full recovery.
