Range Rover has offered the first official glimpse of the Range Rover Sport Electric, confirming that its second all-electric model will make its full debut later this year. The SUV was showcased privately at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it also completed a series of dynamic demonstrations.

The electric Sport will join the upcoming Range Rover Electric, expanding the brand’s EV portfolio.
Performance takes centre stage
While technical specifications are yet to be revealed, Range Rover says the Sport Electric has been developed to be its most dynamic and fastest Range Rover Sport yet.
The SUV features:
- Fully electric powertrain
- New chassis tuning for sharper handling
- Increased power and torque
- Dedicated EV sound profile
- Retains the familiar Range Rover Sport design
At Goodwood, the prototype tackled a series of driving challenges inspired by previous Range Rover Sport achievements, including the famous Heaven’s Gate climb in China and the Iceland dam ascent.
Completes the Range Rover Sport lineup
Once launched, the Range Rover Sport will be available with multiple powertrain options, including:
- Fully electric
- Plug-in hybrid (PHEV)
- Mild-hybrid V8 petrol
- Six-cylinder petrol
- Six-cylinder diesel
This will allow buyers to choose between conventional combustion engines and electrified options under the same model line.
Full reveal later this year
Range Rover has confirmed that complete technical specifications, performance figures and launch details will be announced later in 2026.

Final Take
Range Rover isn’t trying to reinvent the Sport with its electric version; it wants to build on an already successful formula. If it can deliver the same blend of luxury, off-road capability and driver engagement while embracing electrification, the Sport Electric could become one of the most compelling luxury EV SUVs when it arrives later this year.
