Ferrari has unveiled the 296 GT Modificata, a track-only model developed from the experience of the 296 GT3 Evo. Built exclusively for the Ferrari Club Competizioni GT programme, the new car will be produced in very limited numbers and is designed without the restrictions of motorsport regulations.
The two-seater gets a more powerful V6, revised aerodynamics and upgraded braking hardware. Ferrari says it can lap the Fiorano circuit 3 seconds faster than the 296 GT3 Evo.
730 hp V6
The 296 GT Modificata uses a rear-mid-mounted 2,992cc 120-degree V6, with several changes to the crank train, camshafts, induction system, intercoolers and turbochargers.

The engine produces 130 hp more than the 296 GT3 Evo, which is restricted by Balance of Performance regulations.
Race-Bred Aerodynamics
Ferrari has redesigned both ends of the car to handle the additional performance. The front gets a new bonnet and slotted splitter, while the rear features a completely new wing.
The wing uses structural endplates, a single centre pylon and a larger 5mm Gurney flap. Additional cooling ducts have also been added for the brakes.
Two Seats, Track-Focused Cabin
Unlike a conventional single-seat race car, the 296 GT Modificata has a two-seat cabin, allowing owners to take a passenger or work with a driving coach.
An integrated intercom, passenger footrest and professional seat harnesses are included. Ferrari also equips the car with data acquisition, video recording, brake temperature sensors and tyre pressure and temperature monitoring.
Club Competizioni GT
The 296 GT Modificata is exclusively intended for Ferrari Club Competizioni GT events. Buying the car includes participation for two years or 12 rounds of the programme.
The 2027 calendar includes events at Jerez, Misano, Fuji, Indianapolis, Paul Ricard, Spa-Francorchamps and the Ferrari Finali Mondiali.
