Porsche has launched the new Cayenne Electric in India, bringing an all-electric powertrain to one of the brand’s longest-running model lines. The electric SUV will be sold alongside the petrol-powered Cayenne, which Porsche says will continue into the next decade.

The Cayenne Electric is available in two variants in India, with both versions arriving as part of the initial launch. Customer deliveries have also started from 30 September 2026, following the model’s launch event in Mumbai.
Two Variants from Launch
The new electric Cayenne is offered in two versions:
- Cayenne Electric – ₹1.77 crore
- Cayenne Turbo Electric – ₹2.28 crore
Both prices are ex-showroom.
Porsche says the two variants are aimed at customers with different performance and ownership requirements, although the company has not disclosed India-specific power, range or charging figures in the release.
Electric Power Meets Everyday Usability
The Cayenne Electric is designed to retain the practicality that has traditionally been associated with the Cayenne while adding an all-electric powertrain.
Porsche says the new generation combines its expected driving performance with electric mobility, while retaining the versatility and everyday usability of the Cayenne nameplate.
The launch also expands Porsche India’s electric portfolio, adding another fully electric model alongside its existing EV offerings.
Petrol Cayenne to Continue
Despite introducing an electric version, Porsche is not replacing the conventional Cayenne immediately. The company has confirmed that petrol-powered Cayenne variants will continue to be sold into the next decade.
This gives customers the choice between conventional powertrains and the new electric Cayenne within the same model family.

Final Take
The Cayenne Electric marks a major step for Porsche’s popular SUV in India, adding an electric alternative without immediately ending the petrol-powered range. With two variants priced from ₹1.77 crore, it expands the Cayenne lineup while keeping Porsche’s traditional powertrain option available for the years ahead.
