Delhi, 23 Oct 2018: Hyundai India Launched the all new Santro today, one of the highly anticipated vehicle of the Hyundai line up. Santro will become Hyundai’s entry level car for India promising a whole lot of new-age creature comfort and safety features on offer. Hyundai has also made this popular family car among the people also compliant with the up come BS norms.
Giving importance to safety up-front, the new Hyundai Santro gets only driver side airbags as standard while dual airbags are available on the higher variants. However, seat belt with pre-tensioners and ABS with EBD are standard across variants.
Speaking on convenience the Santro get 7-inch infotainment system with AndroidAuto and AppleCar play. The top of the line variant is also loaded with key-less entry and all power window features. The cabin on the Santro is also the best in class in terms of comfort and space is concerned.
The 2018 Santro is powered by an 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 68 bhp and 99 Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission unit. It also gets an option of AMT transmission developed by Hyundai. There is also an CNG option on offer which is claimed to return 20.3 kmpl mileage.
Hyundai India has announced the price of the 2018 Santro starting at 3.89 lakh for the base D-Lite variant and going up to 5.45 lakh for the fully loaded Asta variant, all prices ex-showroom, India.
