Mercedes-Benz ‘ICON E-CONCEPT’ rendered as modern day Classic saloon.

The iconic saloon(W114/115) in the span of 1960’s and 1970’s got a competently redesign by the famous automotive artist  David Obendorfer. It is absolutely gorgeous, the car with its iconic vertical headlights along with other classical elements in its era where retained with full of its essence!

The ICON E-CONCEPT is originally redesigned by combining the modern day W213 DNA by keeping a lot of ingenuity from its retro ancestor. It is that dream car that modern day Classic car enthusiasts were wish to see. But, for the sake of its concept nature. The wishes are less assured in order to own one or see it in flesh.

However, the design concept is really appreciating. First of all, the classic grille and vertically styled retro headlight makes the front stance a class apart. It is seen that modern cars have been shifted to more curvier design than the edgy ones that they used to be. But, this concept makes our perception further, it is undoubtably the best combination of retro and modern draft together.

Upon interior the pre-electronic ancestor got all the modern day electronic traits from its grand son. The digital instrument cluster and modern day touch navigation system are really inevitable at this point of time. Nevertheless, the steering wheel has all that old retro styling in chrome wraps with addition of modern day switch controls. Dashboard with all around leather wraps looks minimal in design. The tail lights retain its horizontal architecture with slotted stripes. Modern day alloy wheels placed instead of the old school drum wheels. Moreover, this is the best rendering that showcased in recent days, and the key fact is that this car is not for everyone, it has its own territory.
