Ather Energy, India’s top electric scooter maker, has launched the 2025 Ather 450X in Sri Lanka. This move is part of Ather’s plan to grow in international markets. Sri Lanka is now Ather’s second overseas market after Nepal.
Ather first entered Sri Lanka in December 2024 with the Ather 450X. Since then, the company has quickly expanded, opening 19 Experience Centres across the country with its distributor, Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd. Ather has also set up charging stations to make EV ownership easier and more reliable for Sri Lankan customers.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said, “We are excited to launch the 2025 Ather 450X in Sri Lanka. The response to our scooters has been fantastic, and we have expanded quickly to 19 stores. The 2025 Ather 450X is perfect for Sri Lanka’s roads, offering great performance, reliability, and quality.”
The new 2025 Ather 450X comes with a multi-mode traction control system, offering Rain, Road, and Rally modes for different riding conditions. It also features improved TrueRange™ and new multi-compound tyres developed with MRF for better grip, efficiency, and range.
Ather started its international journey in November 2023 with its first Experience Centre in Nepal, where it now has 9 stores. Ather also recently launched its family scooter, Rizta, in Nepal. In India, Ather has a strong network with 446 Experience Centres and nearly 4,000 fast chargers.
