Automotive artist Vidita Singh to be exhibiting at the Automotive Fine Arts Society Exhibition at Pebble Beach Concours on the 26th of August – 2018
Leading automotive artist, Vidita Singh has been invited to exhibit her art at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours, to be held at Monterey, California on the 26th of August 2018.
Invited to be this year’s guest artist by the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS), Vidita Singh will be exhibiting her artwork at the AFAS marquee tent, on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach golf course, during the annual Pebble Beach Concours classic car show.
Vidita is the first artist to represent India in the international automotive art world and amongst the few female artists in the world to be selected for the prestigious AFAS Pebble Beach Concours exhibition. She will exhibit her works alongside renowned artist like Tom Hale, Dennis Hoyt, Ken Eberts, Barry Rowe, Jay Koka to name a few.
She will be displaying her art in the following mediums; oil on canvas, watercolors and charcoals.
Commenting on opportunity, Vidita Singh said, “To be selected by the Automotive Fine Arts Society to show at Pebble Beach, and to be exhibiting amongst the automotive artists I admire is an honour and a dream come true. I hope my work does justice in portraying the fantastic history India has with cars, to the international automotive community.”
About Vidita Singh
Vidita Singh is one of the first automotive artists in India. Bringing out the novelty automobiles were in the bygone era and the artistic and mechanical masterpieces they are in her paintings is her passion. Vidita has managed to portray automobiles and the special relation automobiles had with India in a manner that has now earned her international acclaim.
Vidita has done solo exhibitions in New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Hong Kong. She has been part of several exhibitions including theCartier Concours d’Elegance. Her work has been auctioned by Christie’s at Royal Bridges art convergence held in Dubai.
She was commissioned to make a painting for Ford Motor’s Centenary Celebrations, for Ford Motor Company, India. She was also commissioned to create a painting for Hyundai Motors, India which graces their corporate office. Vidita has also been featured as an ‘Upcoming Automotive Artist’ in the Dutch automotive website Carartspot.com.

About AFAS
The Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS) was founded in 1983. The society was started by artists who were acknowledged to be the best in their area of expertise. AFAS members today work in many different ways that would include but not be limited to, oil paints, watercolors, acrylics, pen and ink and they participate in a multitude of art exhibitions and shows across the United States, to legitimize and promote the car, and associated motoring objects, as worthy subjects for high quality artwork.
Since the time the society was formed in 1983 by a group of 6 artists, members have been added yearly to the current total of 32. The Society’s first exhibit as a group was held at the Pebble Beach Concours in 1986 and has continued annually to the present. They are supported by brands such as the Lincoln Motor Company who have been sponsors for twenty years. Kumar Galhotra, President, Lincoln Motor Company is quoted as saying “AFAS artists represent the pinnacle of taste and quality”.
