Bentley Motors has showcased its stunning new design concept, the EXP 15, inside its newly opened state-of-the-art design studio. This bold concept isn’t just a styling exercise, it’s Bentley’s vision for future luxury, blending classic inspiration with futuristic technology and design.

At over five meters long, the EXP 15 takes design cues from the legendary 1930 Bentley Speed Six “Blue Train” coupe, with a long hood, upright grille, and a rear-set cabin. Yet, it’s a thoroughly modern creation, featuring ultra-smooth surfaces, digital lighting signatures, and advanced aerodynamic features. While EXP 15 is not for sale, it provides clues about the design direction of future Bentleys—including the brand’s upcoming first fully electric vehicle.

Reimagined Interior: Three Seats, Immersive Tech, and Pet-Friendly Features

Step inside, and the EXP 15 breaks all norms. Using virtual reality tools, the cabin was designed to offer endless personalization options. It features:

  • A three-seat layout with clever door configurations for easy entry and elegance.
  • A luxury passenger seat that swivels outwards, reclines, or slides forward based on your mood—perfect for comfort or that Instagram moment.
  • A unique pet and hand-luggage storage area within the cabin.
  • Even the boot doubles as a picnic lounge, complete with pop-out seats, lighting, and a fridge.

Bentley has collaborated with British heritage brands to blend craftsmanship and sustainability:

  • 100% wool textiles from 250-year-old Fox Brothers.
  • Fine silk jacquard from Gainsborough, a fabric supplier to royalty.
  • Lightweight 3D-printed titanium trim that adds futuristic finesse while reducing waste and weight.

Exterior Language: Five Pillars of Bentley’s Future Design

Bentley has distilled its future design philosophy into five exterior principles, seen clearly in the EXP 15:

  1. Upright Elegance – A proud and vertical stance.
  2. Iconic Grille – A bold grille turned into a piece of digital art.
  3. Endless Bonnet Line – A long, unbroken silhouette extending from front to back.
  4. Resting Beast – Powerful rear haunches and muscular form, like a crouched animal.
  5. Prestigious Shield – A sculpted rear with diamond-textured lights and a winged badge.

Adding to the magic are active aerodynamic features, slim futuristic lights, and twin spoilers that enhance both form and function.

Interior Principles: A Fusion of the Physical and Digital

Bentley’s future interiors are built around five key ideas:

  1. Wing Gesture – Inspired dashboard forms that mimic the Bentley logo.
  2. Bold Gravitas – Large natural material surfaces like wood and metal.
  3. Cocooning Haven – Enclosed comfort zones for privacy and luxury.
  4. Iconic Details – Signature Bentley touches like quilted seats and knurled knobs.
  5. Magical Fusion – The blend of mechanical and digital elements, including a full-width display that disappears into wood, and a “Mechanical Marvel” clock that glows and moves like a living sculpture.

Sustainability and Technology at the Core

Underneath its artistic skin, the EXP 15 is imagined as an all-electric all-wheel-drive vehicle, capable of long-range grand touring. While no technical specs are confirmed, it signals Bentley’s commitment to performance, sustainability, and next-generation mobility.

The EXP 15 isn’t a production car, but it captures Bentley’s direction for the years ahead. With its blend of heritage, digital innovation, sustainable craftsmanship, and emotional design, this concept redefines what a 21st-century Grand Tourer can be.
