Upcoming Royal Enfield Classic spied ahead of its official unveil.

The RE Classic has been in its current generation for a long span. While inline with the BS VI norms to be kicked out in early 2020, the company is testing its next generation classic. The Classic retained the design cues from its predecessor, however there are some key changes in the engineering section.

First of all, unlike the previous generation the disc brakes are moves from the left hand side to right. Which eventually make way for the new drive-train chain to incorporate at the left-side.

Upon engine side, the cylinder block looks similar to the current model, Nevertheless, the crank case is changed and it looks similar to the one that seen on the 650cc engine on the Interceptor or the GT. Surprisingly, the retro classic kicked out the starter kicker pedal from the engine block.

Upon the cosmetic changes and visual entity, the new classic has lot more similarities with its predecessor. For instance, the design proportions of the fuel tank, battery cover, tool box cover and the iconic headlight assembly resembles the previous model. Moreover the seats were designed similar to the previous model with more rounded edges.

The double-cradle frame take charge of the chassis side by replacing the single-downtube chassis. The test mule is found to be testing on a conventional spring units instead of gas-charged ones. The rear brake pedal, handle bar and the rear grab rail were re designed. The Classic is expected to launch by the end of this year with more charismatic riding experience than its predecessor.
