BMW Opens India’s Largest BMW Service Workshop in Mumbai

BMW Group India has inaugurated what it describes as India’s largest BMW service workshop, operated by Navnit Motors in Mumbai, built to Retail.NEXT standards, the facility combines expanded service capacity, digital technology, and dedicated electric vehicle infrastructure to improve the ownership experience.

Located in Andheri East, the workshop spans about 1,15,000 sq. ft. of covered area and has 53 bays for service consultation, diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and bodywork and paint.

Built for Faster Service

The workshop’s layout and equipment are designed to improve efficiency and reduce service turnaround times. BMW-certified technicians and high-voltage specialists are supported by advanced diagnostic systems and facilities for electric vehicles.

Key facilities include:

  • Six service consultation bays and three diagnostic bays.
  • 21 mechanical and electrical bays.
  • 23 body and paint bays.
  • Dedicated customer and chauffeur lounges.
  • A BMW M Zone for Performance Parts and Accessories, alongside a BMW Accessories and Lifestyle Collection.

Digital Aftersales Experience

BMW is also expanding its digital services to make vehicle maintenance more transparent and convenient. The MyBMW App allows customers to schedule and manage service appointments at authorised workshops.

A personalised service video explains recommended repairs, allowing customers to review and approve the work and pay online. End-to-end digital vehicle tracking also provides real-time updates from vehicle arrival to collection.

Sustainability

The facility incorporates solar power, rainwater harvesting, water recycling, and energy-efficient infrastructure. Solar energy supplies 20% of its electricity requirements, while all water used for car washing is recycled. BMW also says the workshop follows a zero-waste approach for solid and toxic waste.
