Bugatti W16 Mistral Blanc Eternal Unveiled as a One-Off Tribute to the W16 Era

Bugatti has revealed the W16 Mistral Blanc Eternel, a one-of-one roadster created through its Sur Mesure bespoke division. Inspired by the iconic Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc from 2011, the unique commission celebrates the end of the legendary W16 engine era by combining digital design, handcrafted artistry and fine porcelain craftsmanship.

A Modern Tribute to L’Or Blanc

Fifteen years after the porcelain-inspired Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc’, Bugatti has reunited with Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) to create another automotive work of art.

Instead of replicating the earlier car, the ‘Blanc Eternel’ embraces Bugatti’s modern design process. The exterior graphics are inspired by the digital surface mapping used while designing the W16 Mistral, with fine black lines flowing across a pure white body to reveal the car’s underlying geometry.

The result is a striking finish that highlights every curve of the roadster while paying tribute to Bugatti’s evolution from handcrafted clay models to fully digital design.

Porcelain Meets Hypercar Engineering

The collaboration with KPM goes far beyond paintwork.

Handcrafted porcelain details appear on the:

  • EB emblem
  • Fuel and oil caps
  • Engine cover inserts
  • Gear selector
  • Window switches
  • Speaker grille
  • Centre console
  • Knee pad inserts

Creating these pieces is no simple task, as porcelain shrinks during firing and each component has to be engineered precisely to fit the car after the process.

An Interior Like No Other

Inside, the cabin mirrors the exterior theme with white leather finished using the same black graphic pattern. Every line is hand-masked and painted, creating a cabin unlike any other Bugatti.

The combination of premium leather, porcelain accents, and meticulous craftsmanship reinforces the W16 Mistral’s status as one of the most exclusive Bugattis ever built.

More Than Just a Bespoke Paint Job

Bugatti says the ‘Blanc Eternel’ represents the closing chapter of the W16 story. The Veyron introduced the legendary quad-turbo engine, while the W16 Mistral serves as its final road-going expression.

To mark the collaboration, Bugatti and KPM have also created a limited-edition porcelain collection inspired by the car, comprising handcrafted cups in a run of just 1,000 pieces.

Final Take

The W16 Mistral ‘Blanc Eternel’ isn’t about chasing lap times or breaking speed records. It’s a celebration of craftsmanship at a time when the legendary W16 bows out. For Bugatti, this isn’t just another bespoke commission, it’s a beautifully executed farewell to one of the greatest engines the automotive world has ever seen.
