Citroën India has launched the new C3X range as part of its “Shift Into the New” plan. This updated version of the popular C3 SUV brings 15 new smart features, making it more comfortable, high-tech, and safe, while still being one of the most affordable cars in its segment.

Key Features and Upgrades

The biggest highlight is Citroën’s new Proxi-Sense Passive Entry and Push Start system. This feature lets drivers unlock and start the car without taking the key out of their pocket or bag. The car unlocks automatically when the key is nearby and locks itself when you walk away.

The new C3X is also the only SUV in its segment to offer Cruise Control with a Speed Limiter, making long drives easier and safer. Other upgrades include an auto-dimming inside mirror, a HALO 360-degree camera system with seven viewing angles, LED projector headlamps and fog lamps, LED interior lights, and a rear USB Type-C port for fast charging. Safety is boosted with a perimetric alarm and a full suite of safety features.

Performance and Comfort

The C3X keeps its bold SUV look and French design. It has a high ground clearance and a tight turning radius, making it easy to drive in both city traffic and on highways. The car comes with two engine options: a 1.2L PureTech 82 (naturally aspirated) and a 1.2L PureTech 110 (turbocharged), with both manual and automatic transmissions. The turbo version can go from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds and offers a fuel efficiency of 19.3 km/l.

Inside, the C3X offers best-in-class space, with wide rear shoulder room, theatre-style rear seats, and lots of headroom and legroom. The 315-litre boot is big enough for family trips. The suspension is specially tuned for Indian roads, giving a smooth “flying carpet” ride. The air conditioning system is designed for Indian summers and can cool the cabin below 14°C.

Tech and Safety

The 10.25-inch Citroën Connect infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also comes with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, engine immobilizer, speed-sensitive auto door locks, and more.

Colors, Interiors, and Pricing

The new C3X is available in 5 monotone colors (Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red) and 2 dual-tone options. There are 3 interior themes: Injected Grey, Anodized Grey, and Metropolitan leatherette.

Prices start at ₹5.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and go up to ₹9.89 lakh for the top-end automatic turbo variant. Bookings are open now, with deliveries starting in September 2025.
