The 2026 Indian Racing Festival (IRF) will get underway at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on September 12-13, with the F4 Indian Championship opening its six-round season. The Indian Racing League (IRL) will join the action in October, with both championships set to finish at the new Navi Mumbai Street Circuit in December.
The FIA-certified F4 championship will feature 14 drivers from eight nationalities, competing across eight teams. The series continues to serve as a stepping stone for young racers moving from karting to single-seater racing while earning valuable race experience and Super Licence points.
The 2026 F4 grid includes drivers from India and overseas, with teams representing cities across the country.
Indian driver Bhuvan Bonu will be among the local talents looking to progress towards higher levels of single-seater racing.
The four-round Indian Racing League season begins at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai on October 24-25. Six city-based teams will compete, including Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru, Goa Aces JA Racing, Kolkata Royal Tigers, Hyderabad Blackbirds, Speed Demons Delhi and Chennai Turbo Riders.
The biggest addition this season will be the Navi Mumbai Street Circuit, which will host the season finales for both championships. The move brings the IRF into a street-racing environment and aims to take motorsport closer to fans in India’s cities.
The 2026 Indian Racing Festival will be broadcast on STAR Sports KHEL, STAR Sports 2 Kannada and STAR Sports 2 Tamil, while JioHotstar will stream the races in multiple languages. STAR Sports’ YouTube channel will also carry the races outside India.
