The Global Clean Mobility Summit 2025, hosted by Micelio Mobility in Bengaluru, brought together leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to discuss the future of sustainable transportation. The event focused on stories of change, collaboration, and forward thinking, all centered around this year’s theme, “Next Starts Now: Sustain and Scale.”
One of the highlights of the summit was the recognition of Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, who received the ‘Individual Contributor of the Year 2025’ Award. His contribution to India’s electric mobility journey has played a key role in shaping how the country approaches clean transportation.
Throughout the day, industry leaders including Kris Gopalakrishnan (Infosys & Axilor Ventures), Raman C. V.(Maruti Suzuki India), Jan Kuenne (Grundig Akademie), Kasturi Gomatham (Shell), and Priyanka Bisen Shah(Bajaj Auto) shared their perspectives on the evolving mobility landscape. The discussions covered topics ranging from circular design and electric mobility to data-driven innovation and the role of startups in creating sustainable solutions.
Raman C. V. spoke about India’s progress in mobility and its path toward becoming a developed economy. He emphasized that the shift to clean mobility requires collaboration and continuous reinvestment in innovation. “To truly scale, we must reimagine mobility—from ownership to consumption, from ICE to EVs, from linear to circular design,” he said.
Jan Kuenne’s talk brought an international point of view, sharing examples of how cities around the world are adopting creative solutions. From reusing old cable cars for logistics to developing autonomous bicycles. Praising Bengaluru’s spirit of innovation, he said, “Every visit to Bangalore reminds me why this city is so special. The ideas coming out of India are shaping the future of clean mobility for the world.”
The summit also featured Founder’s Story sessions where startups such as Volar Alta, Shoffr, and Moonrider shared their journeys. These stories stood out for their honesty and focus on solving real-world problems through innovation and persistence.
Another key moment was the presentation of Micelio’s Digital Twin Lab, built in partnership with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). This initiative supports real-time testing and validation for EV technologies, helping bridge the gap between research and industry needs.
The day ended with a relaxed fireside chat between Tarun Mehta and Kris Gopalakrishnan, who reflected on how India’s clean mobility sector is evolving and what the next decade might look like.
