Final day of INMRC round 1,Veteran rider Sarath Kumar leads the championship.

Leading the pack, Mizoram boy Lal Nunsanga emerged victorious in IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup – CBR150R Novice class

Coimbatore: Riding into day 2 of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship the IDEMITSU Honda India Racing team ended the Round 1 with a total of two podium finishes in Pro-Stock 165cc category.

Giving a stellar performance in today’s race with the total time of 3:43.790 seconds, Honda’s expert rider Sarath Kumar secured 2nd position. With this, Sarath leads the championship.

Taking lessons from yesterday’s race, Honda riders Yashas R. L and Aravind B. showed strength on race track. With merely a difference of 0.147 seconds in their total time, the duo crossed the chequered line at 4th and 5th spot respectively. Making a quick game was Rajkamal K. B of ProLap racing who climbed up the rank to 6th from 15th position start.

Meanwhile, steering away from the crashes, K.Kannan managed to complete the race and was the 9th to cross the chequered line.

Speaking on the performance of Honda riders, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President – Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said,“Day 1 gave confidence to our riders to take on Day 2 with enthusiasm and deliver more power packed performances. Taking on Race 2 today, we saw our experienced rider Sarath Kumar outpacing the others and is now leading the championship. Meanwhile, the new faces of racing continue to emerge and rule the podium with Lal Nunsanga, Varoon and Charan T securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. With the learnings of Coimbatore, we now head to Chennai for the second round. The round will also see Moto3 weapon NSF250R making its debut in the 2019 racing season. We are more than ready to take on the championship.”
