Honda Launches CB125 Hornet in India at Rs 1.12 Lakh

Honda has launched the new CB125 Hornet in India, priced at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The CB125 Hornet enters a highly competitive segment in the Indian Market. Hero Xtreme 125R, TVS Raider, and Bajaj Pulsar N125 are the Main Rivals for CB125 Hornet. Inspired by its bigger sibling, the CB750 Hornet, the new 125cc model features a sporty and sharp design aimed at young, urban riders. Bookings are now open, and deliveries will begin from August 15.

Design and Features

The CB125 Hornet stands out with its street-style look, sculpted body panels, and sharp lines. It comes with an angular split LED headlamp, a fuel tank with integrated extensions, and a stylish exhaust. The bike also features a split seat and gold-finished upside-down front forks. It weighs 124 kg (kerb), has a seat height of 796 mm, and boasts the largest fuel tank in its class at 12 litres.

Honda offers the CB125 Hornet in four color options: Lime Yellow, Red, and Gloss Blue (all with dark blue accents), and an all-black version. The black model gets matte gold-finished alloy wheels, while the other colors have wheels matching the body color. The bike is equipped with a 4.2-inch color TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity via the Honda app, and a Type-C charging port.

Chassis and Brakes

The CB125 Hornet is the first in its segment to feature an upside-down telescopic front fork, finished in gold, and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a 240 mm front disc with single-channel ABS and a 130 mm rear drum brake. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 80/100-17 tyres at the front and 110/80-17 tyres at the rear.

Engine and Performance

Powering the CB125 Hornet is a 123.94 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine produces 11 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Honda claims the bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

With its sporty design, advanced features, and strong performance, the Honda CB125 Hornet aims to attract buyers looking for a stylish and practical commuter motorcycle.
