Honda has launched the CB500 in India, with prices starting at ₹2.75 lakh. The retro-styled motorcycle gets an all-new 501cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine and will be offered in three variants with alloy and spoke-wheel configurations.
The CB500 was first showcased in India in July and is locally manufactured, helping Honda keep its pricing competitive in the 500cc segment.
Engine and Features
The CB500’s 501cc single-cylinder engine produces 28 hp and 43.3 Nm of torque. It is Honda’s largest air-cooled single-cylinder motorcycle in the Indian market.

The Honda CB500 is available in three variants:
- Alloy: ₹2.75 lakh

- Top-spec Spoke: ₹3.02 lakh
The mid-spec variant gets cross-spoke tubeless rims, while the top-spec version adds exclusive colour and graphics options.

The Honda CB500 enters a segment that has remained largely vacant since Royal Enfield discontinued its 500cc UCE range in 2020. With local manufacturing, a large-capacity single-cylinder engine, and three configurations, it offers a new option below the Royal Enfield 650 twins, which start at ₹3.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
