Hyundai BAYON Bookings Open in India at ₹11,000

Hyundai Motor India has opened bookings for the upcoming Hyundai BAYON, an SUV focused on technology, safety, and everyday usability. Customers can book the BAYON for ₹11,000 through Hyundai’s official website or authorised dealerships across India.

The 4.2-metre-long SUV is set to launch during the festive season. It features an in-built generative AI voice assistant and will be offered with petrol engine options paired with manual and IVT transmissions. Hyundai will announce prices and delivery timelines at launch.

Generative AI and Connected Features

The Hyundai BAYON’s key feature is its in-built generative AI voice assistant, designed to offer more natural interactions between the driver and vehicle.

Hyundai says the SUV focuses on five key areas: intelligence, safety, comfort, performance and style. However, the company has not yet revealed the complete feature list.

Design and Platform

The BAYON gets a futuristic design with a sculpted bonnet, H-Edge LED DRLs, geometric wheel arches and wrap-around door cladding. Bridge-type roof rails and a wide stance add to its SUV styling.

It is built on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered to meet 5-star Indian safety standards, based on its internal assessment.

Hyundai also highlights the SUV’s space utilisation, claiming generous legroom, headroom and shoulder room for occupants.

Petrol Engine with Manual and IVT Options

The BAYON will be powered by Hyundai’s petrol powertrain, with manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) options. Engine displacement, power and torque figures have not yet been disclosed.
