Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced a major safety milestone with the all-new Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line. Achieved a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). This result shows the Venue is a benchmark for safety in the competitive compact SUV segment in India.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways recognised the achievement. Noting that the rating reflects a commitment to making advanced safety technologies accessible to a broader market segment.
Crash Test Performance and Platform
The Venue and its performance-oriented sibling, the Venue N Line. Demonstrated high levels of protection for both adult and child occupants during BNCAP’s testing protocols.
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): The Venue recorded a best-in-segment AOP score of 31.147 points.
- Platform Engineering: The vehicle is built on the Global K1 enhanced Platform. Its structural integrity is supported by a body shell composed of 71% high-strength materials. It includes ultra-high-strength steel and hot-stamped components designed to manage crash energy effectively.
Advanced Safety Technology and ADAS
Hyundai has equipped the new Venue range with over 65 advanced safety features. 33 of which are provided as standard across all variants. A key highlight is the integration of Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS. This includes a suite of 21 intelligent features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.

- Standard Protection: 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all occupants, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) are included across the range.
- Braking & Handling: The SUV features all four-disc brakes, Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold.
- Visibility & Monitoring: Advanced driver aids include a Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind View Monitor (BVM), and a Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
