Hyundai’s New Verna Launched; A Familiar Face in the Mid-Size Sedan Segment

Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the refreshed Hyundai Verna, aiming to dominate in the mid-size sedan segment.

Priced from ₹10.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Verna arrives with over 25 enhancements across design, technology, safety, and comfort.

The latest facelift finally introduced Level 2 ADAS, keeping the competition in mind.

Performance

Under the hood, the Verna continues with two petrol engine options:

1.5-litre MPi Petrol

  • Power: 113 hp
  • Transmission: 6-speed Manual / IVT

1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol

  • Power: 157 hp
  • Torque: 253 Nm
  • Transmission: 6-speed Manual / 7-speed DCT

 Additional performance features include:

  • Drive Modes (Eco, Normal, Sport)
  • Paddle Shifters
  • Idle Stop & Go (ISG)

Exterior with Character

The new Verna adopts a more aggressive design language with a bold and modern stance. The company upgraded the sedan with a black chrome radiator grille, new dual LED projector headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels.

With a length of 4,565 mm, wheelbase of 2,670 mm, and width of 1,765 mm, the Verna remains one of the widest sedans in its segment.

Premium and Feature-Rich Interior

On the inside, the Verna gets a significantly enhanced cabin designed to feel more premium and driver-focused.

The sedan comes equipped with Hyundai Bluelink connected technology, offering over 70 connected features.

Safety remains a major focus for the new Verna, which now offers over 75 advanced safety features.

 The Sedan also gets six airbags as standard across variants, along with ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
