New Records Unlocked! Maruti Suzuki FRONX Crosses 5 Lakh Production Milestone

Maruti Suzuki’s compact SUV, the FRONX, has reached a big milestone by producing 5 lakh units since its launch in 2023. The FRONX has quickly become popular for its bold design and strong performance. It was the highest exported passenger vehicle from India in FY 2024-25 and ranked among the top 10 best-selling cars in the country during that time.

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, thanked customers for making the FRONX one of the most sold compact SUVs in India. He said this achievement shows India’s manufacturing strength and how much customers like cars with modern design and features. He also promised that Maruti Suzuki will keep delivering exciting and value-packed vehicles.

About the Maruti Suzuki FRONX:

• The FRONX was first shown at Auto Expo 2023 and stands out for its bold looks, tech-filled cabin, and advanced engine options, including a turbo engine for extra performance.
• It comes with features like a Head-Up Display, 360 View Camera, wireless smartphone charger, and a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• The FRONX became the fastest model in India to reach 1 lakh sales in just 10 months. It also hit the 2 lakh and 3 lakh sales marks in record time, and in February 2025, it sold over 21,400 units in a single month.

Exports and Global Success:

• Maruti Suzuki started exporting the FRONX in 2023, making it the first ‘Made in India’ SUV from the company to be exported to Japan.
• The FRONX quickly became the fastest SUV to reach 1 lakh exports, and it is also popular in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
