Maruti Suzuki ends production of current generation Swift

Maruti Suzuki ended production of second generation Swift in India. Team-BHP published an image of last swift body rolling of the assembly line. Maruti Suzuki stopped production of Swift on December 23. Most of the dealerships across India don’t have stock of current generation Swift.

The customers who booked current generation Swift will get new generation model in February. The new Swift is based on Heartact platform which is lighter than outgoing model. Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by same 1.3 L diesel and 1.4 L petrol engine. Both mated to 5 speed gearbox and we can expect Maruti to introduced 1.0 L Boosterjet engine in Swift. Maruti will officially launch new generation Swift in 2018.
