New Delhi: Maxxis Tyres, the world’s fastest growing tyre company and the largest two-wheeler manufacturer announces sponsorship in the 42nd edition of Dakar Rally 2020. The tyre company becomes the lead sponsor and tyres provider to the Dutch team led by Tim Coronel.
With joint efforts and after a year of preparation, 47-year-old twin brothers Tim and Tom Coronel will be participating in the Dakar Rally from January 5th, 2020. The drivers will have to cover a total length of 9,000 kilometers in the varied landscape of Saudi Arabia, the largest country in the Middle East. The Dakar participants will start in Jeddah, where for once the gateway to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina will also be a launching pad for the drivers, riders and crew. The rally will culminate on 17th January, and award ceremony will take place in Al Qiddiya.
Commenting on the global association, Mr. Bing Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis Tyres India said, “Maxxis Tyres has time and again proved its mettle in the most adventurous and deadliest rallies of the world. Since 2013, Maxxis Tyres has been a sponsor in Dakar Rally and we wish both Tim and Tom Coronel all the best once again in their conquest.”
Since 2011, Maxxis cooperates successfully with Reedijk Banden Import BV (official Maxxis distributor in the Benelux – member of the Van den Ban group), their Maxxis ambassador Tim Coronel and the Dutch Maxxis Tech Center Uden in the Netherlands. The sponsorship has proven to contribute to the increase of brand awareness in many countries. In addition, the Dakar rally is a great opportunity to prove the quality of the tyres and to make a connection with our end consumers.
