New Delhi: Maxxis Tyres, the world’s fastest growing tyre company and the largest two-wheeler manufacturer announces sponsorship in the 42nd edition of Dakar Rally 2020. The tyre company becomes the lead sponsor and tyres provider to the Dutch team led by Tim Coronel.
With joint efforts and after a year of preparation, 47-year-old twin brothers Tim and Tom Coronel will be participating in the Dakar Rally from January 5th, 2020. The drivers will have to cover a total length of 9,000 kilometers in the varied landscape of Saudi Arabia, the largest country in the Middle East. The Dakar participants will start in Jeddah, where for once the gateway to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina will also be a launching pad for the drivers, riders and crew. The rally will culminate on 17th January, and award ceremony will take place in Al Qiddiya.
