New Hyundai Santro Officially Revealed

Hyundai has officially launched today the New Santro (code named: AH2) in India ahead of its market launch by 23rd of October. 

Chennai,9 Oct 2018: Hyundai has officially launched today the New Santro (code named: AH2) in India ahead of its market launch by 23rd of October.

The new Santro will have a ‘tall boy’ design similar to the original. Styling at the rear is simple and is similar to what seen on Grand i10, with the number plate positioned on the bumper rather than on the tailgate. Small tail-lights should help give the tailgate a wide opening, while the large rear windshield should provide good visibility out the back. The model spotted also had a rear wiper and a high-set auxiliary brake lamp.

The interior gets now loaded with new-gen features, The santro gets infotainment system with smart phone connectivity including apple car play android auto support. The new Santro Interiors are more spacious having low NVH levels and is claimed to be bigger in terms of dimension.

The ride and Handling of the vehicle is also said to be have improved with suspension duty’s taken by McPherson Strut at the front and at the rear by coupled torsion beam units.

The New Santro comes with only one engine option a 1.1 petrol engine that puts out 67bhp. Which is mated to an 5-speed manual or an first four AMT transmission. Hyundai Claims an mileage of 20.3 kmp/l from this power train. A factory fitted CNG kit is available as an optional addition with the petrol engine which is claimed to return 30 kmp/l.

The Online booking for the new Santro will start by tomorrow. Customers can book by paying an booking amount of Rs. 11,000.

The Pricing for the New Santro stars from  Rs. 3.7 Lakhs for the base variant.
