Mercedes-Benz India has received more than 650 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the upcoming Electric GLC within just 36 hours of opening bookings. The EOI process began on October 5, 2026, ahead of the SUV’s India debut.
The strong response comes before the launch of the new electric SUV, which will make its India debut on November 4, 2026.
The GLC 400 4MATIC will be locally manufactured at Mercedes-Benz India’s facility in Chakan. It will be the company’s first locally produced SUV based on its new-generation electric architecture.
Mercedes-Benz says the new GLC combines the existing model’s comfort and practicality with a new electric platform and updated technology.
Mercedes-Benz will continue accepting EOIs for the next batch of vehicles.
Customers who have registered their interest will receive regular updates about their order status and indicative delivery timelines.
The Electric GLC will add another model to Mercedes-Benz India’s growing electric vehicle portfolio. The company says the response to the SUV reflects increasing interest in electric luxury vehicles that combine performance, technology and everyday usability.
The Electric GLC is also the German Premium Car of the Year 2026, according to Mercedes-Benz.
With 650+ EOIs in just 36 hours, the Electric GLC has generated strong interest even before its India launch. Local production and deliveries beginning in November will make it an important addition to Mercedes-Benz’s electric SUV range in India.
