Mercedes-Benz unveils the GLB class-The practical compact SUV

The automaker who pioneered in broadening its vehicle line-up with inline to trends in market has officially launched their new product, The GLB SUV. This is some sort of new experiment from Mercedes, essentially making a new breed from the family of much practical B-class.

Kudos Mercedes for this new contrivance. The Boxy SUV will also avail in 7-seater layout on demand. The car will slotted between the GLA and GLC in terms of class and pricing.The key feature of GLB is its versatility and practicality. It can be act both like a perfect family car as well as a spacious SUV to carry over the essentials. Mercedes-Benz claimed that the two seats in 3rd row can be used by people up to 1.68 metres in height.Moreover optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a special off-road light were avail on selected variants.

While considering the dimensions, The GLB has a 2829mm of wheel base and overall height of 1662 mm. The function-oriented greenhouse provides generous amount of space inside.However, it perceives the car to be boxy when it comes to the rear.

The front stance showcase the genes of a offroad-suv as we seen in the GLS. Unlike the light source sense as seen in current Mercedes models, the GLB has an integrated fog-lamp in the bumper.Upon side the profile, the raised waist line make it distinctive. Blacked out claddings are provided all around the car to enhance its offroad voyage.

Upon interior, the cockpit like design is similar to new the A-class.Moreover, the Mercedes MBUX- infotaiment system incorporates well in a similar way as seen in new Mercedes models. Along the doors, the SUV character is underlined by the horizontal grab handles. While the Comfort details in the third row include two drinks holders between the seats as well as two stowage compartments with a rubberised insert on the left and right in the load compartment trim, each with a USB port.

The car will be available in GLB 200, GLB 250 4MATIC, GLB 200d, GLB 200d 4MATIC, GLB 220d 4MATIC variants. The Indian launch of GLB is yet to be confirmed.
