JSW MG Motor India has announced that the MG Windsor, India’s best-selling electric vehicle, set a new sales record in July by selling 4,308 units in just one month. Since its launch, MG has sold nearly 36,000 Windsor cars, helping the company grow its share in the EV market.
In the second quarter of 2025, MG’s market share in the EV segment rose to 32%, up from 28% in the first quarter. During the same time, average monthly sales of the Windsor increased by 17%, and the company’s total EV sales went up by 28%.
The MG Windsor has led the Indian four-wheeler EV segment since its launch and has won over 30 awards, including the Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. It is known as India’s first intelligent CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) and is praised for its comfort, style, and advanced technology.
The Windsor starts at a BaaS (Battery as a Service) price of ₹9.99 lakh plus ₹3.9 per km. It combines the spaciousness of a sedan with the versatility of an SUV. The car delivers 100 kW (136 PS) of power and 200 Nm of torque. Its futuristic ‘AeroGlide’ design stands out, and the interior features ‘Aero Lounge’ seats that recline up to 135 degrees for maximum comfort. The large 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW Touch Display on the center console adds to the modern driving experience.
