Goa-inspired TVS Ronin Agonda Edition Launched At Rs 1.31 Lakh

We test rode the TVS Ronin Agonda Edition, The latest from the two wheeler manufacturer. The Ronin is a 225.9 cc neo-retro cruiser motorcycle, whereas Agonda is a small beach village in Goa. We have recently seen a Goa-inspired edition from a different brand, seems like TVS is also not holding back.

What’s the price of the Agonda Edition?

Sitting between the base and mid spec variant of the standard TVS Ronin it costs Rs 1.31 lakh ex-showroom. The base variant is priced at Rs 1.26 lakh and the top variant is priced at 1.60 lakh, both ex-showroom prices. Which means Rs 5000 extra for the Agonda Edition.

What is New in the Agonda Edition?

The TVS Ronin Agonda Edition gets a refreshed look, starting from the front the headlight housing gets a white colour treatment. matching it the tank is also white in colour. Besides the tank wrap around stickers in navy blue, sky blue and red as thin stripes. Another sticker in silver runs from the front to the seat thru underneath the fuel filler cap. This strip also has the lettering “Agonda”, so that you won’t forget what you are riding.

Further inspection we can find a new seat cover and some omissions. Let’s dive into it.

What is Missing in the Agonda Edition?

The TVS Ronin Agonda Edition is based on the base variant of the standard Ronin. Hence it misses out on safety in terms of dual-channel ABS and only gets single channel ABS, in terms of looks it loses out on the Golden USD front forks and in terms of convenience of the adjustable levers.

What has not changed in the Agonda Edition?

The bike is mechanically identical to the standard Ronin from teeth to toe. The motorcycle is powered by 225.9 cc Oil cooled single cylinder square engine. It produces 20 hp power and 19.93 Nm of torque. Even on the equipment side the Ronin Agonda edition carries forward the off-centrely  mounted LCD instrument cluster, ABS modes, Slipper clutch and Glide through technology.
