Honda is developing second generation of Amaze which is codenamed as 2UB internally. The current generation Amaze sales is going well rather than amazing. So Honda want to iron out issues from current model. The new Amaze is going to be longer and wider resulting in improved interior space. Honda Amaze is already one of the spacious sedan in its segment.
One of the weak points of current Amaze is its interior as it lack premium feel of competitors, cost cutting is more evident in Amaze and dashboard design is very old too. The new Amaze will get Plusher interior with class leading features like touch screen infotainment system, climate control and more. The exterior design is also going to take inspiration from other models like City and Accord.
The grill will be more angular for an aggressive look. Honda will give LED headlight, tail light and LED DRLs to make the Amaze look unique from its competitors. The engine lineup of Amaze is not expected to change much as the 1.5 L i-VTEC and i-DTEC engines are furgal and good performers too. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual and CVT auto gearbox with petrol engine. We can expect Honda to reveal new generation Amaze next year.
