Next generation Mahindra Scorpio SUV spied on test for the first time.

Mahindra launched their first generation Scorpio in 2002,moreover, it was the first SUV from Mahindra for the global markets. In fact, the development of the first generation Scorpio from concept to reality involves a great participation from third party suppliers.For instance, the major systems designed directly by suppliers, with the only inputs from Mahindra being design, performance specifications and program cost.

The second generation was launched in 2006 Delhi Auto Expo.While the current generation was launched in 2014 with a highly revised front and rear fascias.

Now, most of the Indian manufactures are in their pursuit to make their vehicles compile with the upcoming BSVI norms, Mahindra has the idea to fully revise its Scorpio model. The spy pics reveals that the car is on a new platform with considerable changes in vehicle dimensions. Furthermore, the body panels are new in a new layout with a upright stance in overall looks.

The car is expected to remain in its ladder frame chassis in a new platform which shares with the upcoming THAR. Moreover, a new BSVI compliant diesel engine is assured. The extension in dimensions will have a positive impact on the interior space. In addition, new interior elements such as a revised dashboard, new centre console with more sophisticated technological integrations can be expected. The rear door seems to be remains in the side-opening layout with vertically aligned tail lamps on both sides.

The car is expected to unveils on the forthcoming Auto Expo 2020, and undoubtedly moving around with the BSVI safety criterians, this might be the safest Scorpio in its lineup.
