Nissan MICRA Returns in an All-New Avatar; Checkout the Stylish Compact Car

The iconic Nissan MICRA is making a strong comeback in 2025, but with a new Heart. Now its a fully electric, smart, and compact hatchback. Known for its practicality and charm over the past 40 years, the sixth-generation MICRA blends bold design, modern tech, zero-emission and performance, staying true to its roots while stepping into the future.

The new MICRA is one of four electric models Nissan plans to launch in Europe by 2027, alongside the new LEAF, JUKE, and a new A-segment EV. It’s also part of the company’s push to offer more sustainable and intelligent mobility solutions, including the next generation of e-Power technology in the popular Qashqai.

Designed in London at Nissan Design Europe, the new MICRA combines compact proportions with SUV-like styling. The Hatchback’s strong road presence comes from features like:

  • Pronounced wheel arches
  • Sculpted surfaces and sleek lines
  • C-shaped LED taillights
  • Unique “ice cream scoop” side design
  • Eye-catching 18 -inch wheels with three styles depending on the variant

Even the headlights make a statement with a quirky “welcome wink” animation when the car is unlocked. The MICRA comes in 14 colour combinations, including standout shades like Rebel Red, Authentic Blue, and Noble Marine, with optional two-tone roof choices in black or grey.

Inside, the MICRA balances Japanese minimalism with smart technology. Highlights include:

  • A simple yet elegant layout with soft-touch materials
  • A 10.1-inch digital driver display
  • A second 10.1-inch central touchscreen, angled for easy access
  • Three interior trims – Modern, Audacious, and Chill – with 48-color ambient lighting
  • A unique Mount Fuji design element hidden in the central storage

It also features a three-spoke steering wheel, and premium seat comfort with ample knee and shoulder space. At under 4 meters long, the MICRA is ideal for city driving, yet still offers:

  • 326L boot space, expandable to 1106L with 60:40 foldable rear seats
  • A spacious feel inside thanks to a long 2.54m wheelbase
  • Only available as a 5-door, ensuring easier access and practicality

The MICRA EV offers two battery options:

BatteryMax PowerRange (Est.)DC Fast Charging
40kWh90kW308 km80kW – 30 mins (15–80%)
52kWh110kW407 km100kW – 30 mins (15–80%)

Both versions come with a heat pump, battery cooling/heating, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support — meaning the car can even power devices like speakers or air pumps when needed. With its combination of style, practicality, cutting-edge tech, and eco-friendly performance, the all-new electric Nissan MICRA is built for modern urban life — but with enough range and power to go beyond.
