Ola Roadster Price Cut to ₹79,999 as Sales Pressure Builds

Ola Electric has announced a significant price reduction across its Roadster lineup, with the entry-level Roadster X now starting at ₹79,999. The discount comes as part of the company’s Holi Mahotsav promotional campaign.

The revised prices are expected to increase sales momentum for the brand.

The Roadster X line up features three battery options;

  • 2.4kWh – ₹79,999
  • 3.5kWh – ₹92,999
  • 4.5kWh – ₹99,999

Meanwhile, the Roadster x+, which offers large battery packs and additional features, starts at ₹1.09 lakh for the 4.5kWh variant and goes up to ₹1.89 lakh for the range-topping 9.1kWh model.

Price Cut Comes Amid Sales Challenges

The price cut arrives at a time when Ola Electric is facing major sales pressure. In February 2026, the company sold just 3,968 units, tumbling to sixth place in the monthly electric two-wheeler sales rankings for the first time.

The unique pricing of the Roadster line up suggests Ola Electric is attempting to regain momentum in an increasingly competitive market. With existing manufacturers expanding their portfolios and new ones entering the segment, affordability has become crucial.

By placing the Roadster X closer to the ₹80,000 price range, Ola is targeting is evidently targeting the entry-level commuter segment, where the largest volume of two-wheeler buyers in India lies.
